🛡️ Stay Safe

Girl, trust yourself — and have a plan. 💕

Awareness and preparation — not fear.

🚩 Something Doesn’t Feel Right

Describe it privately. We’ll sort what you know, what might be a warning sign, what you don’t know yet, and safer next steps.

🆘I Need Help NowShort, calm, safety-first. Not an emergency service — call 911 if you’re in danger.

💜 Know the Signs

Controlling relationships almost never start with violence. They usually start with intensity, attention and small rules that grow. Recognising a pattern doesn’t mean you did anything wrong — and it doesn’t mean you have to make a decision today.

  • Emotional abuse

Put-downs, blame, silent treatment, making you doubt your memory.

  • Controlling behaviour

Deciding what you wear, who you see, where you go, what you post.

  • Isolation

Distance from friends and family, framed as love or as their fault.

  • Digital abuse

Password demands, phone checks, location tracking, constant proof.

  • Financial abuse

Controlling money, ruining credit, stopping you working or studying.

  • Threats & intimidation

Punching walls, driving fast, harming pets, breaking your things.

  • Sexual coercion

Pressure, guilt, ignoring a no, or removing consent mid-way.

  • Physical abuse

Grabbing, blocking a doorway, shoving, hitting, hands near your neck.

  • Stalking

Turning up uninvited, endless contact, monitoring, using other people to watch you.

  • Using leverage

Children, housing, money or immigration status held over you.

🗓️ My Safety Plan

Private to this device

Your plan is stored only on this phone — it never syncs, never appears on your profile, and no one else can see it.

Every situation is different. A domestic-violence advocate can help build a plan around your specific risks — in the US, the National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233 or text START to 88788. Planning doesn’t commit you to any decision.

Think it through with Girl Don’t

Your privacy

Safety conversations, relationship disclosures, your plan and your trusted contacts are never shown on your profile or anywhere public in the app. Girl Don’t doesn’t track your location, and never will without asking you first and telling you exactly what would be shared and with whom. Quick exit is at the top of every screen here.

Girl Don’t AI is not an emergency service and can’t know another person’s intentions. In the US: 911 for emergencies, 1-800-799-7233 (or text START to 88788) for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, 988 for a mental-health crisis. Elsewhere, use your local emergency number and national helpline.
